Updated over a year ago

πŸ“Œ As different companies use Connectr in different ways, some names, colours, and labels you see may be different to the ones in this article. If you can't find something we are referring to, please send us a message and we'll direct you to the specific location on your Connectr site.

As a user of Connectr, you have access to a range of mentors to help answer your questions and support you, whether you are applying for a role, starting a new job, or looking to develop your existing career.

The choice is yours, pick mentors that suit you

Mentors on Connectr are not assigned to you, instead you have the control to choose and speak to whoever you want to. You can speak to as many mentors as you like.

Where do I find a list of available mentors?

You can find a list of mentors who are available for you from the 'Mentors' button in the menu at the top of the site, or within the hamburger menu on mobile.

πŸ’‘ Depending on the Connectr you are using, mentors may have a different name. For example, 'Ambassadors', 'Experts' or 'Buddies'.

See the example below:

Screenshot shows the mentor button is at the top of the page, to the right of the Modules button and the left of the Forums button. The page shows a list of recommended mentors.

How should I pick a mentor?

Who you choose to speak to will depend on your goals, it's recommended that you view the mentor profiles to learn a bit more about them. You can do this by clicking on a mentor from the list to open their profile. Look at their role, skills, and experience and if you're still not sure try sending them a message and see if they can help!

If there are a lot of mentors available to you, you may find it helpful to filter the list to suit your requirements. On the mentor list page, you will find a filter button on the top right which opens a filter panel for you to help refine your search.

Choose the filter button on the right above the list of mentors:

Select as many filters as you like, and confirm to see a refined list of mentors available to you:

On the list of recommended mentors, a filter panel is open showing the use can filter by Team, with Business Development selected.
