User Deletion

Learn more about deleting users from your platform

Admins can permanently remove mentors and mentees from the platform individually or in bulk.

This is useful for:

  • Data management and keeping your platform organised by clearing outdated or irrelevant records.

  • Searching for and removing individuals such as ex-employees.

  • Removing less active users to create spaces for new users within your user limit​.

  • Clearing down a platform, for example, removing a previous cohort to invite a new set of people.


Where to find User Deletion

You can find the user deletion feature in the Admin section of your Connectr platform. Select 'Users' and then 'User Deletion' from the drop-down menu on the left-hand side.

User Deletion Options

Depending on your goals, you can use the User Deletion feature on your account in multiple ways. The screenshot below highlights four ways to use this tool.

  1. Individual email address search

  2. Checkboxes to select one or multiple emails (moving between pages will keep the checkboxes you have ticked)

  3. Select all visible emails on the current page

  4. Delete all emails from the platform or all filtered users.

  5. Filter options

    Refine your search options by user role and last login date.


How to delete users

In the example below, the user list has been filtered, and two mentees have been selected. When you choose at least one user, the system displays a button in the bottom right-hand corner, allowing you to proceed with user deletion.

Once you select the button, the system takes you to the next page, where you can review your selections.

If you're happy with removing the emails from the platform, add the number of emails shown on the page. In this case, we've selected two mentees, so the number '2' has been added to the box. When ready, select the button in the bottom right-hand corner to continue with the deletion.

Please note:

  1. User deletion is irreversible. Ensure you have reviewed all selected records before proceeding. We recommend you let users know before deleting them. If you're unsure how to manage this, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

  2. If you use the User Access list as one of Connectr's features, for now, please contact your CSM, as these will also need to be manually removed from there.


Why can't I delete some emails?

After attempting to delete user accounts, you may find that some have not been successfully deleted. You will know if a user has not been successfully removed if they still appear on the page after you try to remove them. The system will display an error message in the top right-hand corner, as shown in the example below.

This will happen because the user will be connected to multiple platforms and must be manually removed from your Connectr by our team. If this happens, don't hesitate to contact your Customer Success Manager and let them know which can't be deleted. Ideally, a list of all email addresses should be sent to them so they can quickly take action. We'll let you know when all users have been removed.
