As an admin, you have the option to enable or disable file uploads in messaging on your Connectr platform within the admin section. This article will show you how to enable or disable message attachments and explain when each option might be useful.
Why you might want to have message attachment switched on:
If you have a 'Connectr for Employees' platform, you may wish to keep this feature on for your users to share internal work documents.
If you have a 'Connectr for Candidates' platform you may want to have this switched on to allow users to share their CV with mentors for review.
How to enable or disable attachments
Navigate to ‘Connectr Settings’ on the left-hand menu when viewing your admin dashboard.
Use the toggle to switch message attachments on or off. Select ‘Save’ to apply your changes.
Once switched on, users can select the paperclip icon (bottom of the messaging screen) to attach their documents when messaging a Mentor. If switched off this paperclip icon will not be visible, meaning attachments are not possible.
Reasons for having message attachments switched off
The need to switch message attachments on/off will differ depending on how you want to use the platform. You may choose to switch it off for greater safeguarding for your users or to reduce CV review requests being sent to your mentors.
